“Why,” asked Charley, “do things that are the hardest make the most colorful rings?”
“It’s because I learn so much more during those times, and I become stronger.”
“What? I don’t understand,” said Charley.
“I’ll explain. When I say stronger, I don’t mean I have more physical strength.” Arthur did a few twists of his body to show Charley what physical strength meant.
He continued, “Inside of me, I learned how to help myself to feel better. So when something difficult happens again, I know that even though I feel sad, angry, or scared at the time, I have the ability to be happy again in my heart.
